Why am I Alive???

Are you exhausted from searching for purpose in a world that often feels empty and disconnected? Do you wake up each day wondering if this life is all there is, or if there's a deeper meaning that has somehow escaped you? Perhaps you've been through pain, confusion, or crisis, and in your quiet moments, you wonder if anyone truly sees you, if anyone truly cares about your struggles. I understand. I hear you. You’re not alone, and there is an answer—an answer that will change everything.

Do you believe in God? If you don’t, here is something for you to consider… When you look at a building, you KNOW there had to be a builder, because buildings don’t build themselves. If you look at a painting, even one that is over 500 years old, you KNOW there had to be a painter because paintings don’t paint themselves.

When you look at creation, the birds of the air, all the animals, the flowers, trees, the stars, moon and planets, little babies… You KNOW there HAD to be a Creator, because creation can’t create itself!

God exists!

1. The Greatest News You’ll Ever Hear: God Loves You

It may sound simple, but it is the most profound truth you could ever know: God loves you. He created you with a purpose and a plan, and that plan has always been for you to know Him, to have a relationship with Him, to live with Him forever. The Bible tells us in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” God’s love is beyond measure—more than a fleeting emotion or passing feeling. It's unconditional, steadfast, and eternal. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe.

You may feel insignificant or overlooked in this vast world, but you are anything but. You were created in His image, uniquely designed to be in relationship with Him. And because of His great love for you, He didn’t just create you and leave you to fend for yourself. He made a way for you to be with Him forever.

2. The Heartbreaking Problem: Sin and Separation

But there’s a problem. While God created you with love and purpose, there is something standing between you and Him—a barrier that we all face: sin. Sin is anything that goes against God’s perfect will, whether it’s a lie, a selfish act, or turning away from the love He offers. Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Sin separates us from God, and no matter how good we try to be, we cannot bridge that gap on our own. We might try to fix things through our own efforts, but it’s impossible to repair what has been broken by our disobedience. The Bible tells us that sin leads to death, both physically and spiritually—an eternal separation from God.

The good news? God didn’t leave us there.

3. The Radical Answer: Jesus

Jesus Christ is the answer to the problem of sin. God loved you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to live among us and experience life as we do. Jesus lived a perfect life—He never sinned. And yet, He chose to take the penalty for your sin and mine. Jesus died on the cross, taking the punishment we deserved, so that we might be forgiven.

But death couldn’t hold Him. Three days later, He rose again. The Bible says there were over 500 eyewitnesses to this fact. Jesus conquered sin, death, and the grave, proving once and for all that He is the way to eternal life. In John 14:6, Jesus Himself says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Jesus is the bridge that reconnects us with God. Through Him, we can experience forgiveness and new life—a life that is abundant, full of hope, and with a purpose that extends beyond this world.

4. Your Response: What Should You Do?

So, what should you do with this incredible gift of grace? The Bible says salvation is a gift—but like any gift, you must accept it. God offers you a way out of your despair, a way into eternal life, but you must choose it. God will not force you against your will. Here's how to be saved:

  • Admit you’ve sinned: Acknowledge the wrong you’ve done, the mistakes you’ve made, and recognize your need for a Savior.

  • Repent: Turn away from your old way of living and follow God’s way. Repentance isn’t just feeling sorry—it’s about a change of heart and direction.

  • Believe in Jesus: Trust that Jesus died for you, that He rose again, and that through Him, you can have eternal life.

  • Receive His gift: Invite Jesus into your life and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. Allow Him to guide your steps from this day forward.

Here’s a simple prayer you can pray:

"Dear God, I know I’ve sinned, and I am truly sorry. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again, and I trust in Him to save me. Please come into my life and make me new. Help me to follow You all the days of my life. Thank you for loving me, and for the gift of eternal life. Amen."

If you’ve prayed this prayer, congratulations—you are now what the Bible calls “born again” (John 3:3). You have been forgiven, made new, and adopted into God’s family. His Holy Spirit now lives within you, empowering you to live a life that honors Him.

5. What’s Next?

Now that you’ve received the gift of salvation, here are the next steps to grow in your relationship with God:

  1. Talk to God every day: Prayer is simply talking to God. He wants to hear your thoughts, your fears, your hopes, and your dreams. He knows you intimately, and He desires a personal relationship with you.

  2. Read the Bible: Start with the book of John, the 4th book in the New Testament to understand who Jesus is and what He has done for you. The Bible is God’s Word to you—it will teach, encourage, and guide you.

  3. Find a church: Find a community of believers who will support you and help you grow in your faith. A church that teaches from the Bible is a place where you can learn, worship, and connect with others who love God. FIND A CHURCH HERE

  4. Tell others: Now that you know the truth, share it with those around you. Let others know about the love, forgiveness, and eternal life found in Jesus Christ.

  5. Trust Jesus every day: Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. Ask Him for help, direction, and strength each day. Trust that He is with you every step of the way. You won’t be perfect, and you will stumble along the way but God will be there, ready to forgive and help you grow.

One Final Thought:

You don’t know what tomorrow holds. Life is fragile, and every day is a gift. Over 170,000 people die every single day. Today is the day of salvation. Don't wait any longer to surrender your life to Jesus. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

If you should die today without accepting Jesus as your Savior, it will be too late. But if you accept Him now, you will be with Him forever in Heaven, where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no death. Will you be ready when He comes?

God is waiting for you. Will you open your heart to Him today?
